POW camp, Hatfield

This used to be a 'prisoner of war' camp that was used back in WW2. It has been out of commission since then. There has been reports that this camp is to be demolished to build some mansions, but no actual planning has been made yet due to the history and heritage of this place. On Boxing Day 1945, there was a football match that occurred between the POWs and locals with roughly 700-800 spectators. The prisoners had won with a score of 11-0. The camp mainly housed German, Austrian, and Italian prisoners.
